photo 102



Instructor
Nicole Hill is a photographer for Rubberball Productions -a stock photography company. Examples of her work can be found on her site, nicolephoto.com as well as her blog, a little sussy. Nicole started teaching photography classes in September 2007 and teaches from her own curriculum.

Course Description
Photo 102 is for students continuing from Photo 101 or for anyone with a strong knowledge of manual settings.

In class, you will learn more creative lighting techniques. The focus of the class will be to stimulate creative shooting and practice different lighting techniques by shooting still life with natural light.

We will also spend time reviewing and critiquing each other's work. (there will be 1-3 shooting assignments per week.) We will also review and critique work of professional photographers.

Our final class will be an indoor lighting demo where we will be learning lighting techniques by photographing still life.

Class Times
Classes are held one night a week (1 1/2 hrs.) for 3 weeks with a lighting demo on the Saturday of the third week.

Equipment Needed
A digital SLR is recommended, but all you really need is a camera that allows you to change aperture and shutter speeds manually.
A tripod is helpful for this class.
